1. Do you think the world became a more dangerous place on September 11, 2001 or are we just more aware of the danger? How has your own life changed as a result of that day?
A- I think we had our head in the clouds prior to 9/11. The country as a whole has become more aware of danger. As for how has my life changed, I believe I became less naive that day.

2. Did you think your parents were too strict when you were growing up? How about in hindsight?
A- Growing up I thought my mom was way too strict and I had my dad wrapped around my finger. In hindsight I wish I had paid more attention to my mom, it would have saved me a lot of heartache.

3. Share one random but candid fact about yourself.
A- I love to cook from recipes, a little too much maybe. When it comes to simple cooking, like boiling an egg, I have to ask hubs how to do it.

4. Would your nearest and dearest describe you as simple or far too complic…

His Word Friday (August 26)

(29) Are not two little sparrows sold for a penny? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father's leave (consent) and notice.

(30) But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

(31) Fear not, then; you are of more value than many sparrows.

(32) Therefore, everyone who acknowledges Me before men and confesses Me (out of a state of oneness with Me), I will also acknowledge him before my Father Who is in heaven and confess (that I am abiding in) him.

(33) But whoever denies and disowns Me before men, I will also deny and disown him before My Father Who is in heaven.

1. What is something that bothers you if its not done perfectly?
A- Washing pots and pans.  When I get ready to cook I do not want to find food in the pan I'm cooking with. That kind of ruins my whole appetite.

2. Do you think a 6th sense exists? Explain.
A- I don't know about a 6th sense but some people seem to have instincts about certain things.

3. Do you say your goodbyes slowly, quickly, or not at all?
A- It depends on who I'm saying goodbye to. If it's a close friend or family member I will say it slowly. If it's an acquaintance I'll say it quicker. I think it's rude to not say good-bye at all.

4. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being hot hot hot, what level of spice do you like in your food? What is your favorite spicy dish?
A- I would say a 2 and my favorite dish would be a taco salad. Although that is subject to change.

 5. What is one of your all time favorite commercial…

(I wanna know)

Just today
I heard a story of a pastor far away
Who watched his church walls fall with the rain
With tears in his eyes
Here is what he had say
"Let's reach the ones that will rebuild this place"

I wanna know You like that
To live, to love
With everything I am
To give it all
I wanna know You like that
To become
A man after Your heart
And not look back
I wanna know You like that

I wanna know
I wanna know
 I wanna know...

Like David did
He lived a life this world cannot forget
He'd fall so hard then get back up again
Then face the giant knowing he would win
Because You were with him

I wanna know You like that
To live, to love
With everything I am
To give it all
I wanna know You like that
To become
A man after Your heart
And not look back
I wanna know You like that

With every breath I breathe
I wanna help others see
And I will never stop
'Til everybody's singing

With every breath I breathe
I wanna help others se…

1. One of your scars, how did you get it?
A- I was riding a motorbike through an orange grove, without a helmet, and ran into a tree. This required 325 stitches in my forehead. The doctor decided to fore-go plastic surgery since my hair would cover the scar. Now I sometimes wish I had plastic surgery because the older I get the more my hair thins and the more prominent the scar.

2. What’s on the walls in your room?
A- Artwork

3. Do you: snore, grind your teeth, or talk in your sleep?
A- My hubby says I snore and talk in my sleep.

4. What type of music do you listen to?
A- Contemporary Christian

5. Do you know what time you were born?
A- Close to 9pm

6. What do you want, more than anything?
A- A vehicle we can depend on. I had to call my hubby yesterday because my vehicle would not start.

7. What do you miss?
A- My dad died in 2010 and I miss him sometimes.…

(26) Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?

(27) And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life?

(28) And why should you be anxious about clothes? Consider the lilies of the field and learn thoroughly how they grow; they neither toil nor spin.

(29) Yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his magnificence (excellence, dignity, and grace) was not arrayed like one of these.

(30) But if God so clothes the grass of  the field, which today is alive and green and tomorrow is tossed into the furnace, will He not much more surely clothe you, O you of little faith?

(31) Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear?

(32) For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all …

1. Using what's in your frig right now what sort of meal would you be able to make for guests who are knocking at the front door this very minute?
A- Right now we are running low as we do our grocery shopping on Thursdays. A few things I could fix are: Spaghetti with meatballs, Salami sandwiches, or Hotdogs with vegy's. We would usually have hotdogs and french fries, but we are out of fries.

2. What is something about yourself that you hope will change but that probably never will?
A- I tend to be an introvert until I get to know someone. It's hard getting to know someone when you are an introvert.

3. What's something about yourself that you hope will never change?
A- My love for God, the Bible and family.

4. Do you usually send serious or funny greeting cards? Why?
A- It depends on who I am sending them to. My dad was a practical joker so I sent him funny cards when he was alive. My mom is mo…

(7) But as for me, I will look to the Lord and confident in Him I will keep watch: I will wait with hope and expectancy for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

(18) Who is a God like You, Who forgives iniquity and passes over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retains not His anger forever, because He delights in mercy and loving-kindness.

(Micah 7: 7, 18 AMP)

The Lord is good, a Strength and Stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows (recognizes, has knowledge of, and understands) those who take refuge and trust in Him.

(21) But this I recall and therefore have I hope and expectation:

(22) It is because of the Lord's mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His (tender) compassions fail not.

(23) They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness.

(24) The Lord is my portion or share, says my living being (my inner self); therefore will I hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him.

(25) The Lord is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly for Him, to those who seek Him (inquire of and for Him and require Him by right of necessity and on the authority of God's word).

1. Share a favorite song lyric.

2. When was the last time someone yelled at you?
A-Well let's see...I really can't remember the last time someone yelled at me.

3. Money, fame, happiness...are they mutually exclusive?
A- Not necessarily. It depends on how they are handled. People with money or fame may or may not be happy. People that are happy may or may not have money or fame. How's that for going around in circles?

4. What is your favorite dish to prepare for family/friends that doesn't involve turning on the stove, oven, or an outdoor grill?
A- Seven-Layer Salad

5. The first week of August is National Simplify Your Life Week. What is one thing you could do this week to simplify your life? Will you do it?
A- There are piles of paper that need to be organized, which would simplify my life. Whether I'll do it is yet to be seen.

6. On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being 100% and 1 being …
