Why Did God Make Moms...

Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:

Why did God make mothers?
1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.
2.. Mostly to clean the house.
3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.

How did God make mothers?
1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring..
3. God made my mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

What ingredients are mothers made of?
1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.
2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.

Why did God give you your mother and not some other mom?
1. We're related.
2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's mom like me.

What kind of a little girl was your mom?
1. My mom has always been my mom and none of that other stuff.

Ways To REDUCE Stress...

In my last post I asked how do you cope in the tough times.
I had some great responses and thought I would list a few more ways.

Hopefully these can help just one person.

(1) Slowly swing on a porch swing.
(2) Swim, take a walk, try some yoga.
(3) Get a massage.
(4) Relax with a cup of hot tea.
(5) Have a relaxing meal using candles.
(6) Declutter your home.
(7) Eat a healthy meal.
(8) Take a long bubble bath.
(9) Cuddle a baby.
(10) Work in the garden.
(11) Visit a friend.
(12) Go on a weekend get-away

Ways to SURVIVE Tough Times!!

In this day and age most everyone is going through tough times.
So I thought I would list some ways to cope.

(1) Go sit by a quiet lake, stream, or brook.
(2) Look at photo albums, remember the good times.
(3) Learn a new hobby.
(4) Read a good book.
(5) Crochet, knit or make a quilt.
(6) Sip some hot tea.
(7) Turn up your praise music and worship the LORD.
(8) Watch a funny movie.
(9) Eat some chocolate.
(10) Read your favorite blogs
(11) Go for a long drive in the country.
(12) Watch a sunset with that favorite person.

(13) Do something new

Autumn is the time of year I visit my GYN dr for a checkup as well as have a mammogram.

Time For Change...

As I flip the calendar over for a new month I'll also be making some changes of my own.
It's time to exchange my summer clothes for winter clothes, I'll be blogging less (not daily),
I'll be finishing up the `Read the Bible in 90 Days` project (4 weeks to go), I'll be doing a
Bible study with the ladies at church (`Experiencing God`).
